TOV NEWENERGY (LLC NEWENERGY) is a private Ukrainian limited liability company, EDRPOU 35048670, founded in 2007. The terminal is fully owned and self-operated, with no leases, no concessions and no other operators on the territory. EU buyers contract with one legal entity, with one signature and full control over the handling chain.

Is New Energy a state-run port or a private operator?

Accepted Answer

Private. On the Danube cluster both state-run and private port operators coexist; New Energy is a fully private operator within the Izmail seaport boundaries. This means decisions are made commercially without state-tariff constraints, and the contractual relationship is direct.

How do I verify your status with public registries?

Three public sources confirm our operating status: (1) the Register of Port Operators of Ukraine maintained by USPA (Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority); (2) ISPS Code UAIZM-0019 published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO); (3) Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolution defining Izmail seaport boundaries (territory inclusion). EDRPOU code 35048670 is verifiable in the Ukrainian state registry of legal entities.

24/7 operation means around-the-clock cargo handling with no scheduled pauses or weekends off. This is essential for vessel-arrival predictability and for cargoes that require continuous handling (e.g. time-sensitive grain shipments).

What types of vessels can you accept at your berths?

Accepted Answer

Two berths — floating and fixed — accept river-sea class vessels and river barges. Both self-propelled and non-self-propelled. Vessel call under any flag is supported thanks to ISPS UAIZM-0019 certification. Detailed berth specifications (lengths, depths, moor configuration) are provided on request under NDA.

Do you have on-site rail and truck access?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Owned rail handling fronts on the territory with direct access for wagon delivery and removal. Certified truck weighbridges and a dedicated access road to the checkpoint. This makes us a true multi-modal node — vessel, rail, road and customs all on the same site.

What cargo specializations do you handle?

Accepted Answer

Four core specializations: grain (wheat, corn, barley, soy, rapeseed), mineral fertilizers (bulk and big-bagged), break-bulk and general cargo, steel and ore. We do not currently handle gasoline, jet fuel, LPG, Class 1 explosives or Class 6 toxic substances.

What is the minimum and maximum cargo volume you accept?

Accepted Answer

Minimum parcel size starts from 1,000 tonnes for most cargo types. There is no upper limit — multiple full vessel loads are processed sequentially in our 24/7 mode. For smaller volumes we can consolidate with other shippers when schedules allow.

Can you handle grain bound for EU markets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We receive, store, weigh and clear grain in the on-site customs zone for EU-bound shipments. EUDR and other export documentation (origin traceability, geo-location of supplier farms, chain-of-custody) is the exporter's responsibility, prepared by them or their customs broker; we supply the on-site weighing and cargo data they reference.

Do you have customs procedures on site, or is cargo cleared elsewhere?

On-site. A permanent customs control zone established by Odesa Customs operates directly on the New Energy territory. Cargo clears at the terminal — no transit to a dry port or to the Reni/Odesa hubs is required for clearance.

Do you handle hazardous cargo (ADR / IMDG)?

Accepted Answer

Yes for standard ammonium nitrate / CAN under appropriate handling protocols and segregation rules. We do not handle ADR Class 1 (explosives), Class 2 (LPG, propane), or Class 6 (toxic substances). Customer-supplied SDS / MSDS and handling instructions are followed strictly.

To prepare a preliminary quote within 1–2 business days we need: cargo type and grade, volume in tonnes, origin and destination, expected timing, and any vessel preference. We respond with a preliminary calculation and a request for any missing detail.

Can I get detailed technical specifications for due diligence?

Yes — under NDA. Detailed specs (berth dimensions, equipment models, throughput rates, customs zone layouts) are provided to qualified buyers via email request. Indicate "technical datasheet request" in your message; we send NDA terms first, then the datasheet after the NDA is signed. This is standard practice for critical-infrastructure businesses.

What payment terms and contract structures do you support?

Standard B2B payment terms with established trade partners; for new clients prepayment or letter of credit (L/C) terms are typical until track record is built. Long-term volume contracts (10+ year horizon) are supported and preferred for stable cargo programs. Specific commercial terms are part of the contract negotiation.

How does your stevedoring differ from other Danube terminals?

Vertical integration. A single legal entity controls our berths, warehouses, equipment fleet, rail fronts, road logistics, and customs. This means one point of accountability for the full cycle, with no cargo handover between operators and no split insurance coverage.

Can vessels under any flag call your terminal?

Accepted Answer

Yes. New Energy holds ISPS Code certification UAIZM-0019, so vessels under any foreign flag can call the terminal legally and on standard maritime insurance terms. As ship agent we handle the port formalities and documentation for the call.

How does on-site customs clearance work?

A permanent customs control zone operates on the terminal, where the State Customs Service clears import and export cargo. Because clearance happens on site, cargo is not moved to a dry port, which shortens the time from vessel arrival to release. Export documentation itself is arranged by the cargo owner or their customs broker; we provide the on-site zone, certified weighing and the cargo data.

With documents in order, clearance typically takes hours rather than days, because customs control happens on site, with no transit to a dry port. Specific timing depends on importer document quality; we coordinate ahead of vessel arrival to minimize wait.

What does multi-modal handling look like in practice?

Accepted Answer

Typical flow: a vessel arrives at the berth, cargo is discharged by mobile crane into covered storage or directly onto a rail or truck front. For direct vessel-to-wagon or vessel-to-truck transshipment, no intermediate storage is needed. One contract covers everything, with no handover between forwarder, port and operators.

Can fertilizers be delivered bulk and bagged at your terminal before onward shipment?

Yes. Our in-house big-bag filling line accepts vessel- or warehouse-stored bulk material and packs it into FIBC bags with automatic dosing (typically 400–1,500 kg). The bagged product ships directly by road or rail without re-handling.

Our covered warehouses have sectioned bays for distinct fertilizer types. Handling equipment is cleaned between cargo changes per documented protocols. For sensitive customers we can dedicate a section exclusively to their cargo for the duration of the contract.

Yes. We handle standard general-purpose containers in our open yards. We do not currently operate as a dedicated container terminal (no gantry cranes, no container shuttles), but containers within mixed shipments are common cargo here.

Lift capacity depends on the equipment combination and the specific lift plan. For project and out-of-gauge cargo we confirm the achievable lift capacity for your shipment as part of the quotation.

Do you handle steel scrap?

Yes. Steel scrap (HMS, shredded, bushelling) is handled as a standard ferrous flow. Radioactive-contamination screening can be arranged at the buyer's nomination.

Yes. Open yards and a portion of covered storage are configured for ore and concentrate. Steel products and ore are kept in separate areas to prevent cross-contamination. Mobile and grab equipment switch between cargo types per shift schedule.
