Break-bulk and general cargo handling

Break-bulk handling covers everything that doesn't fit the bulk-grain or bulk-fertilizer flows: bagged cargo, palletized goods, equipment, containers, project cargo, and unitized loads. New Energy handles these via mobile cranes, forklifts and dedicated open and covered storage.

Cargo types we handle

Bagged cargo (food, feed, building materials), palletized goods, big-bags (FIBC) up to standard tonne capacity, containers (general-purpose 20' and 40'), equipment and machinery, packaged construction materials, paper and pulp, timber. Out-of-gauge and project cargo handled per individual lifting plan.

Handling capabilities

Mobile cranes for vessel and dockside handling, forklifts for warehouse and yard movement, telescopic loaders for awkward lifts. A floating crane covers barge-to-vessel and ship-to-shore work where berth-side cranes cannot reach. Standard schemes: vessel-to-warehouse, vessel-to-truck, vessel-to-vessel and warehouse-to-rail.

Storage and dispatch

Open yards for weather-tolerant cargo (steel, packaged construction, containers). Covered storage for moisture-sensitive break-bulk. Both with hard-surface handling areas. Dispatch by truck via certified weighbridges or by rail via on-site fronts. Bonded storage available within the customs zone for cargo awaiting clearance.

Project cargo and out-of-gauge

Out-of-gauge equipment and project cargo (industrial machinery, wind components, oversized parts) is planned individually with the shipper before vessel arrival. We handle the lift (lifting plans, special slings, multi-crane lifts) and on-site movement; onward transport and documentation are arranged by the shipper or their forwarder.
