Steel, ore and metallurgical cargo handling

New Energy handles metallurgical and mineral cargo: ferrous metals, steel products, ore and non-metallic building minerals, both as bulk and as unitized loads, with mobile cranes and direct rail access on site.

Cargo types we handle

Ferrous metals (rebar, beams, structural steel, steel coils), pig iron, steel scrap, iron ore, manganese ore, building minerals (limestone, dolomite, sand, gravel), industrial salt for technical applications. Both export and import flows.

Handling capabilities

Mobile cranes for steel coils and unitized lifts, grab equipment for ore and bulk minerals, conveyor systems for fine bulk material. Both vessel-to-warehouse and warehouse-to-rail schemes. Steel products lift typically by single or tandem mobile crane; ore and building minerals via grab and conveyor.

Routes and markets

Steel and ore flows on the Danube serve metallurgical works in Central Europe (Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia) and food-industry packaging in EU. From Ukraine, exports route via the Black Sea to Mediterranean and broader markets. Building materials primarily flow inland into Ukraine for construction and infrastructure programs.

Storage and dispatch

Open yards with hard-surface flooring for steel products, structural metal and packaged ore. Covered storage for fine bulk minerals where moisture sensitivity matters. Direct rail dispatch via on-site fronts for high-volume programs. Truck dispatch via certified weighbridges.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle steel scrap?

Yes. Steel scrap (HMS, shredded, bushelling) is handled as a standard ferrous flow. Radioactive-contamination screening can be arranged at the buyer's nomination.

Can you handle bulk ore alongside steel products?

Yes. Open yards and a portion of covered storage are configured for ore and concentrate. Steel products and ore are kept in separate areas to prevent cross-contamination. Mobile and grab equipment switch between cargo types per shift schedule.

How are steel exports cleared at your terminal?

Steel and ore are cleared in the on-site customs control zone, so cargo is not moved to a dry port. Export documentation, including EUR.1 or A.TR preferential-origin certificates, is prepared by the exporter or their customs broker; we provide the zone, weighing and dispatch.
