Services
Seven integrated services covering the full chain from vessel to inland transport. Single contract, single point of accountability, no cargo handover between operators.
Cargo operations
Stevedoring (cargo handling)
Stevedoring is the terminal's core function: transshipment of cargo between sea and river vessels, rail wagons and trucks. We run all standard schemes (vessel-to-warehouse, vessel-to-truck, vessel-to-vessel, wagon-to-warehouse and back) with our own mobile cranes, forklifts, conveyor systems and floating crane, so one operator is accountable for the full handling cycle.
Covered and open storage of approximately 40,000 m² buffers vessel, wagon and truck schedules. Cargo types are kept in separate sections to prevent cross-contamination, so food-grade grain and mineral fertilizers never share space.
- Grain: wheat, corn, barley, soy, rapeseed
- Mineral fertilizers in bulk and big-bagged
- Ferrous metals, steel products, ore
- Break-bulk and general cargo
Storage & warehousing
Storage is buffer capacity between the vessel and inland transport. New Energy holds covered and open warehouses totalling approximately 40,000 m². Covered warehouses keep hygroscopic cargo (grain, mineral fertilizer and food-grade salt) dry through any weather in the Danube delta; open yards hold weather-tolerant cargo such as steel and packaged goods.
Cargo types are kept in separate sections, so food-grade grain and mineral fertilizer never share space. Storage also lets a full vessel parcel accumulate before arrival to avoid demurrage, or a vessel discharge inland gradually.
Big-bag bagging
Bagging turns bulk cargo into ready-to-ship big-bags (FIBC) on the terminal. Our in-house filling line packs mineral fertilizer and other free-flowing bulk straight from vessel or warehouse, with automatic dosing, so cargo that arrives in bulk can leave bagged without a separate re-handling stop.
Bagging on site adds value before inland delivery: bagged fertilizer ships on standard flatbed trucks rather than specialised hopper wagons, keeps moisture out and cuts product loss. It is one reason fertilizer importers route cargo through New Energy.
Vessel & freight services
Ship agency
Ship agency means New Energy acts as the port agent for vessels calling the terminal. We handle port formalities and documentation, liaise with the Izmail port captain and the Sea Ports Authority (USPA), and coordinate the services a vessel needs during its call. Foreign-flag vessels can call legally thanks to ISPS Code UAIZM-0019.
One point of contact covers the call from arrival to departure: berth coordination, customs and border formalities, and the documentation a master and owner expect. Standard maritime insurance terms apply because the facility is ISPS-certified.
Sea & river freight booking
Freight booking arranges cargo space on sea and river carriers for your shipment; it is not vessel chartering. New Energy books water transport along the Danube to Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Moldova, Czechia and Germany, and via the Black and Mediterranean Seas for river-sea class vessels, matched to cargo class, volume and timeline.
Booking pairs with handling, storage and customs under one contract, so a single operator is accountable from the berth to onward water transport. Bill of Lading and the port documentation flow are part of the service.
Customs & logistics
On-site customs procedures
A permanent customs control zone operates on New Energy territory, cleared by Odesa Customs. Clearance happens on site, so cargo is not moved to a dry port. This shortens the time from vessel arrival to release and removes one leg of insurance exposure; bonded storage is available within the zone for cargo awaiting clearance.
Customs clearance is carried out by the State Customs Service in the zone; export and import documentation itself is arranged by the cargo owner or their customs broker. We provide the on-site zone, certified weighing and the cargo data they need.
Multi-modal logistics
Sea and river vessels, rail wagons and trucks meet in one node. Certified truck weighbridges, on-site rail handling fronts and dedicated access for wagon delivery serve import, export and transit schemes. Cargo can arrive on one mode and depart on another without intermediate storage, which lowers the overall logistics chain cost.
Our owned vehicle fleet shunts cargo between berths, warehouses and rail fronts without third-party carriers. For long-term programs we negotiate fixed dispatch windows for wagon and truck delivery, so EU importers can plan inland delivery in advance.
