New Energy offers covered and open cargo storage within its private terminal in Izmail. The approximately 40,000 m² total site can support cargo accumulation, temporary buffering, segregation, packaging workflows and staged release—subject to current space and product acceptance.

Storage is sold as a controlled cargo process, not merely as square metres. The plan must protect the commercial lot, required condition and onward sequence.

When port storage creates value

Storage may be appropriate when:

  • inland cargo arrives before the nominated vessel;
  • a vessel parcel must be accumulated from several lots;
  • discharge must be released gradually to road or rail;
  • bagging, sampling, customs procedures or document completion occur between receipt and dispatch;
  • cargo requires segregation by product, supplier, buyer or contract;
  • a fallback is needed if one connected transport mode changes.

If the vessel and inland flows are fully synchronized, direct handling may be preferable. New Energy can compare both options for the actual project.

Covered storage

Covered space is considered for accepted cargo whose packaging or condition may be affected by precipitation or uncontrolled exposure. Possible categories include qualifying grain, mineral fertilizers, bagged products, selected steel products and other unitized cargo.

A roof is not a complete moisture-control specification. The cargo owner must define sensitivity to humidity, condensation, floor contact, ventilation, dust, temperature and package damage. Product-specific protection measures are agreed before receipt.

Open storage

Open areas may suit accepted weather-tolerant cargo under an approved surface, drainage, segregation and protection plan. The inquiry must state whether the material may contact the designated surface, whether dunnage or wrapping is required, how runoff and dust are controlled, and how the lot will be identified and released.

Open storage is not an automatic option for all steel, mineral or breakbulk cargo.

Storage service scope

Depending on the order, New Energy can provide:

  • receipt into an assigned cargo location;
  • lot and inventory records;
  • separation under the approved storage plan;
  • certified weighing at defined receipt or release points;
  • access for appointed surveyors;
  • approved internal rehandling;
  • release to vessel, truck or rail interface;
  • coordination with terminal customs-control procedures where relevant;
  • exception reporting for visible package or cargo condition.

Independent quality certification, product-compliance decisions, customs declarations and insurance surveys remain separate responsibilities unless contracted.

Information required to reserve storage

Provide:

  • exact cargo and regulatory classification;
  • bulk, bagged, palletized, bundled or other form;
  • approximate quantity and expected footprint;
  • lot structure and commingling rules;
  • planned receipt and release periods;
  • covered/open preference with the technical reason;
  • stack, support, ventilation and weather restrictions;
  • survey and inventory requirements;
  • arrival and departure modes;
  • fallback and hold instructions.

For packaged cargo, include package count, dimensions, unit weight and stacking limits. For bulk cargo, include density, moisture, contamination and applicable safety information.

Inventory and release control

Every received lot should map to a contract or shipment reference. The release instruction identifies the authorized party, cargo quantity, lot, destination mode, document status and residual inventory. Similar product descriptions do not authorize commingling.
